Then and Now
These scenes reflect women's issues as these have occurred in the 1920's and the 2000's. Marriage and independence, and their costs, the politics of women's social lives and appearances are made visual through these fetish objects, lost memories of a great aunt, and my own repressed drives and fears in this ongoing series.

A Life of Her Own
.
The photographs in this series address memory, loss, and narrative. The series includes portraits of dolls: old friends found dusty and neglected, friends who once shared so many experiences with us. Through these photographs, I aim to create a space for imagining the dolls’ own stories. I invite the viewer to imagine the emotional and experiential narratives that precede and undergird the captured moment, to play dolls once again, and to consider the stories of those we leave behind as our lives move in directions that do not include them.
